I.A.P.O.A Pipes & Drums

pipeband

Founded in 2001, the I.A.P.O.A Pipes & Drums also operates as a not for profit organization.

In our short time of operation, we have been privileged to participate in ceremonies of fallen Law Enforcement officers, numerous police academy graduations, and several events to support our troops and veterans.

The band is proud of our Irish heritage, and we truly enjoy performing in parades and other civic venues.

We will always be eager to learn and promote our culture by continuing to add to our repetoire of traditional Irish tunes and American favorites.

The band can be seen at many local parades, and public events.

The members of the band receive professional pipe and drum instruction from well known piper Jim Lundt, and professional grade drummer Colum Lundt.

Our Uniform

Bandmembers wear a traditional Bottle Green kilt, and police blue long or short sleeve shirts. We also wear a glengarry cap with a tri-color hackle.

Our uniform is accented by IAPOA embroidered patches, and association pins on our collars. Each member proudly displays his or her departmental badge on the breast. The belt is a police issue dutybelt with a sam browne cross strap, holster, and handcuff case.

Our sporran is traditional horsehair, and we wear diced hose, navy flashes, spats, and oxford shoes.

We are currently designing a dress traditional style police choker coat.
