The Scottish pipe and drum ensemble The Rebel Pipers - Pipes and Drums was founded in 2004.

The founding members of The Rebel Pipers Miroslav Anger and Miroslav Anger jr. originally worked in the band 1st Bohemian Highland Pipers (founded in 1999) from whose membership base it was formed in in 2007, the third band in the territory of the Czech Republic, 1st Czech Pipes and Drums .

Currently, The Rebel Pipers are the longest continuously operating Scottish bagpipe band in the Czech Republic. Pipers and drummers The Rebel Pipers have been performing as individuals and as a group for many years at many events not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad . eg at the international meeting of Scottish pipers and drummers Pipefest 2005 in ScotlandEdinburgh , at the ceremonial unveiling of the memorial to the Czechoslovak to soldiers in Arisaig , Scotland 2009, at the historical festival at Vianden Castle in Luxembourg 2011, at the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Normandy landings in 2014, at the Highland Games in Donnerskirchen , Austria, as a guest of the Scottish bagpipe ensemble Nielston and District Pipe Band during the MDF in Strakonice , at the international wind music festival Kmochův Kolín , at the musical events of the Scottish Games in Sychrov and Scotland in Kostelík , at the liberation celebrations in Pilsen, for the unveiling of monuments and commemorative acts, exhibitions and music festivals, corporate and charity events (Land Rover, Paraple, Motylek, RF Banka), golf tournaments, Czech-Scottish weddings, historical battle reconstructions, Scotch whiskey tastings and many other events.

Members of the band are invited to Czech Radio to film programs not only about Scotland, to Czech Television, TV Nova (among other things, also to the filming of the TV series Ulice) and also to TV Óčko . The ensemble has long-term cooperation with the musician Karel Vágner and with the brass band Harmonie 1872 Kolín .

The ensemble’s cooperation with the organization is no less importantInternational award of the Duke of Edinburgh and the association Center of Czech History . In June 2018, the ensemble performed with violinist André Rieu’s orchestra in Prague’s O2 arena. In 2013, the group recorded a profile CD, where Taxmeni member Vráťa Vyskočil sang Amazing Grace as a guest .
